AMC 10 / AMC 12

Homeschool Administration Ruling

All information referring to Official and Unofficial Administration on the AMC 10/12 (see Administration) applies to Home Schools.
Date of Contests: Contest A - Tuesday , the week before Presidents' Day, in February
(For example, Tuesday, February 7, 2011 )
Contest B - Two weeks later, a Wednesday the week after Presidents' Day, in February (such that there are approximately two weeks between Contest A and Contest B)
(For example, Wednesday, February 22, 2011.)
Eligibility: AMC 12 is open to any student who has not graduated from high school and is age 19.5 or below. AMC 10 is open to any student who is registered in grade 10 or below and is age 17.5 or below.
Rules: The administration of the exam must take place in a public building (e.g. library, church). The AMC 10/12 must be administered by a teacher or some adult (librarian or church official) not associated with any of the Home School participants. Please call the AMC office for details on this.
Cost: A $42, registration/shipping fee is charged for each school who participates on the AMC 10/12 A contest (registering before the first cut-off date of Dec. 17. Examinations are sold in bundles of 10 exams at $16 a bundle (AMC 10) and $16 a bundle (AMC 12).

The Home School must register and assign a name to their school. A separate mailing address of the location of the exam plus the name of the person proctoring the exam must be sent when registering.
Awards: National and local recognition, award pins and certificates.
